Caveat – Of Ecuador's seven reported species of Caligo . . . http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/butterflies/neotropica/db/search_proc.asp?where_stg=Genus=%27Caligo%27&show_reliable=yes . . . I'm unfamiliar with the immatures of C. placidianus and C. zeuxippus.
