Field Notes

Description:

Small snake about 40cm long, bright green body. This was really a split second spotting and without the head I know i may not find out what it was, he just zipped across the path in front of me and up into the crack in this post. I can't remember what the head looked like.

Habitat:

In semi rural setting in midst of open grasslands and scrubland.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

I would bet genus Philothamnus, but difficult to say for sure without seeing the head. The body shape and colors fit though.
