Description:
The great coneflower can grow to 8 ft in height. The flowers have intense yellow ray flowers that dangle from tall brown centers. It has a small native distribution that includes northeastern and eastern Texas, northwestern Louisiana, southwestern Arkansas, and southeastern Oklahoma.
Habitat:
Spotted in a meadow at the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Preserve in Arkansas.
