Solid little crab, about 8cm across but varying in size around the rock pools. Most quite a dark rust to bright orange colour. Oval body of darker shade. Fat front claws and must skinnier back legs. Sort of speckled colouration across the front of the head and large orange eyes that can pop up, but are not really on stalks. Very shy, but if cornered quite fiesty.

Habitat:

Seen in coral rock pools along the coast during low tide.
