Description:

Medium-sized canid; buff-grey coat, not very smooth or dense; buff coat with black hair especially on the back; underside, throat and area around the eyes and lips are white

Habitat:

Found all over India except high Himalayas
Forest; mangroves; urban & semi-urban areas and grassland
