Field Notes

Description:

A Baronet butterfly mauled by Ants.

Habitat:

Polo Forest lies in the foot hills of Aravalli Hills. Having a good teak forest cover, rivulets and rocky hillocks, Polo forest is a rich biodiversity area. The dense forest patches shelters many different species of Butterflies.

Notes:

The Ants took their time and distributed the parts of the Butterfly amongst themselves to control and over power. Some were seen pulling the antennae, the other its wings. The Butterfly eventually got tired and gave up resisting.
