Habitat:

These were found in a camping area off the flint ridge trail. Located at the top of some cliffs overlooking the Pacific.

Thanks Yuko. My Grandfather lived in an moutaineous area where purpurea was overnumerous. As a kid, I was always summoned not to touch it because of the toxicity... Instead of touching it, I guess I looked a lot at the flowers. It always triggers some memories.

I agree with Yuko. We could go a little bit further and Id it as purpurea species. Caution: All parts of this plant are toxic.
