Description:

The size of the beetle was 0.5cm of the head and 1 cm was the body. These beetles are known as pests. The color of the adult beetle is shiny black and it is oval in shape.

Habitat:

These beetles spend their entire lifecycle belowground.

Notes:

The life stage of the black maize beetle starts from the eggs, then the larvae, pupae, lastly adults. It attacks to potato, maize, grapevine, pineapple, vegetables such as: cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, lettuce, strawberry, tomato and more.
