Field Notes

Description:

A chrysalis, about 20mm in length. Being fully mirrored, I soon thought about a Glasswing butterfly (Greta). Will be?

Habitat:

Rural area of southeastern Brazil.

Notes:

Green is not pigmentation or anything, it's just the leaf's reflection. The cocoon is completely mirrored. The small red spots on the other side are reflections of my coat.

Species ID Suggestions

Studded sergeant chrysalis

Athyma asura
