Field Notes

Description:

Aquatic herbaceous plant, spreading by rhizomes, and with floating leaves and yellow solitary flowers (3-4cm across). Fruit is bottle-shaped (pics N° 3, 4 and 5), originating the synonym "Brandy-bottle".

Habitat:

Small shallow montane glacial lake, Lamoura, in valley in Jura range; neighboring the peat-bogs.
