Description:
Bigger Thrush, over 25 cm in length, typical thrush in shape, with a more elongated silhouette and longer tail. Brown above, white underwing, and white to white-yellowish underside, rounded black spots on breast and belly and irregular stripes on neck.
Habitat:
Common bird in Palearctic area, and found all-year round in Central and Southern Europe. Found in open woods, parks, hedges and cultivated land, the mistle thrush feeds on a wide variety of invertebrates, seeds and berries - including those of mistletoe and holly. Here, seen on edge of deciduous, predominantly oak, (Bagasse forest) forest on France-Switzerland border, in a valley of lake Geneva, just in between Jura and Alps mountains ranges - and on edge of a vineyard on the other side.
