Field Notes

Description:

The humpback whale is a species of baleen whale. One of the larger rorqual species, adults range in length from 12–16 metres and weigh approximately 36,000 kilograms

This humpback was off the coast of Iceland and was very playful giving us a good show.

Notes:

This Humback was observed from a whale watching boat that left from Sandgerdi harbour in Iceland where we travelled 30-45 minutes out to sea so I am unsure of the exact co-ordinates, I have taken a best guess.
