Awesome weevil! Welcome to the community VDjulaini!
Hi S Frasier, my bad regarding the habitat. I erased it already as the spotting was indeed in Malaysia. Thanks for correcting.
What a weevil! Where was this spotted? The map shows West Malaysia but under Habitat, Sumatra is mentioned...Here are Project Noah's instructions for filling out the Habitat field: "Habitat: Please state the actual habitat where you photographed the spotting - this information can then be used to track changes in habitat, such as those caused by human intervention or habitat destruction. Again, it is not necessary to state published habitat information here, this can be referenced in the 'reference links' box." (from the FAQs http://www.projectnoah.org/faq ) Thanks!
Hi all, finally find it's ID. Thanks for leading me to the right direction.
My first imprssion was giraffe weevil, too. But the body shape is more like the straight snouted weevil. http://www.projectnoah.org/organisms#?search=straight+snouted+weevil
Very interesting. Nice spotting.
