Field Notes

Habitat:

Found on the floor under a mud wasp nest outside our back door.

Notes:

Four spiders were found. the one in the third pic was missing its abdomen. The fourth spider had been accidentally stepped on. In spite of damage they all appeared to be the same species.

I believe the Blue Mud-dauber wasp currently seen on the nest removed these spiders and replaced them with it's own prey. The Blue Mud-dauber has now sealed up the nest.
