Description:
This flyis a blow fly found in most areas of the world, and the most well-known of the numerous green bottle fly species. It is 10–14 mm long, slightly larger than a house fly, and has brilliant, metallic, blue-green or golden coloration with black markings.
Habitat:
This fly is found most commonly found in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. This organism can be found almost anywhere in the United States. There are over 1000 species of blow fliesknown worldwide and Lucilia sericata is the most abundant
