Description:
Small sunbird, some 10cm in length, olive green above and greenish-yellow below. There is a much darker shoulder patch, black stripe running through the eye and yellowish supercilium. Pictured here is female, a breeding male is VERY colourful; male in eclipse should look alike a female, except for a much darker, olive-green throat and bib (I believe...).
Habitat:
Observed in the village, in gardens with plenty of trees. Seen in extreme south of Teknaf Peninsula. This area are lowlands, less densely populated than the rest of peninsula, with rather poor and salty soils. The area has some ponds, a bit of forests and big salt production (cottage industry) fields.
