Field Notes

Description:

About 6 cm in wingspan, lively orange with black patterned spots on upper side; greenish pattern on underside of hindwings. Male in pics N° 1 to 3; and female 4 and 5.

Habitat:

Seen in a meadow/grasslands on slopes of Jura, on edges of coniferous forest, on some 900 m of altitude, and on edges of Natural reserve
