Field Notes

Description:

About 15mm in size. This one is a large specimen. They are difficult to find when waiting for prey on flowers which they closely match in color. Very potent venom against bees and butterflies which are their main prey. Death comes in an instant even for very large prey compared to the spider. They also hunt at night for unsuspecting moths.

Habitat:

Spotted on a lemon plant on the 9th floor terrace garden of my apartment.
