These large ants with big heads and huge powerful jaws were in formation walking across a low tree branch and up the tree.

RiekoS, this was my first experience with these amazing ants. I believe this interaction is between a worker and a soldier (or a major worker) communicating.
I have never seen this kind before. Beautiful light color and very unusual shape, especially the head. Thank you very much for sharing. I am learning.....
