It cracked me up to see these Mallards on my way to school. They were in our community park which just was filled with rain. The drainage is terrible in that area, so the HOA might as well plant cattails and let a marsh grow! I'm glad that the drakes are out of their eclipse plumage now. It is sometimes quite challenging to identify ducks like that.

I know... I will go in at night with a bag of cattail seed to wreak havoc! I pity dusty California.

Now you just need some pickleweed, to go with those cattails, then you'll have yourself a marsh... just like you said! bye the way, can you just give us some of that rain! Haha!
