Description:

The name "Gladiolus" is derived from the Latin word "gladius", meaning "sword", for the shape of its leaves.

Above spotting is a red gladiola. It turns orange gradually as shown in 3rd pic as it grows old.

It is native american flower grown widely in india

Habitat:

Grown in gardens. Requires the combination of shade and sunshine to grow. Does not require moist soil.
