Description:

It is found in forests of Europe, North America and Asia and has a large, characteristically red-capped fruiting body.

Habitat:

Leccinum aurantiacum can be found fruiting during summer and autumn in forests. In Europe, Leccinum aurantiacum has been traditionally known to be associated with poplars (Populus).

Notes:

It is considered edible.

The are probably L. Auranaticum.. Yes, there are some Aspen trees around. Thank You all on Your help.

Vlad,it is right..Thanks. In the first photo I see aspen trees (Populus tremula) , isn't it?

These are indeed Leccinum sp. but you have to take in account the trees around it. There are a few Leccinum sp that look alike but the difference is to what kind of tree root it's connected. There are other Leccinum that look like L. Auranaticum, for example L. Versipelle, or L. Manzanitae, or L. Insigne, or even a redish version of L. Scabrum...
