Field Notes

Description:

When wet, the caps had a very glossy appearance; when dry, they appeared almost papery. The margins of the caps were lighter. Brown gills, tan stipe.

Habitat:

Mossy ground under Sitka Spruce trees near some salmonberry plants.

Notes:

Some sources list this as a subgenus though others consider them to be a genus of their own.
