Field Notes

Notes:

On cue, Cooper's Hawk begins hunting sparrows and pigeons starting in mid-October. This one was diligently looking at a group of house sparrows that were hiding on the ground beneath tall stalks of flowering plants in neighbors yard. Its presence did not deter the black-capped chickadees, who seem to have confidence it evade him.
