ichneumon wasp

GROOMING is a common behavior i see these wasps perching on plants and engaging in.This large ichneumonoid has a striking red abdomen, yellow bar on black long antennae, legs orange black and yellow marked. The black eyes are surrounded with brite lemon yellow coloration rings. A prominent yellow spot is on the base of the thorax viewed dorsally.
