Field Notes

Description:

A cow was roaming in the woods. Also known as Hereford cattle. Cows are very large to see in person. He had a short brown coat with a white face. The cow was walking slowly through the woods. He looked like he weighed over 2,000 pounds. He was not scared of other people around him.

Habitat:

They usually live on farms or pastures. Not too many of them live in the woods. They usually are in a herd, but this one was alone. They live everywhere in the world except for Antartica.

Notes:

I took this picture last Sunday when I was bow hunting with my father. I was surprised the cow was by himself.
