I am used to all gray plumage on the back with no white. So we are saying that this one is still a little immature then?
Ashley, thank you. I was too tired to process that! Yes, Ring-billed Gull!
Lesser black-backed gulls wouldn't have a ring around the bill. A herring gull would have a red spot on the bill and pink legs.
It could be a Ring-billed Gull or Herring Gull.
