Field Notes

Description:

There were 3-4 of them together in this spot. One of them dropped its tail as a defense mechanism even though I never even got close to touching it. It was pretty effective though, because at first I thought there was one more salamander with it!

Habitat:

Swampy, rocky area in the middle of a forest next
