Description:

golden brown fungus shaped roughly like a goblet; 3 dark grey/black "eggs" held in a nest-like receptacle about 7 mm across the top tapering down; when picked up a ball of soil came up with it; outer surface of nest is sort of shaggy or hairy but not conspicuously so; inside nest smooth shiny not lined like splash cup; inside brown darkening to blackish; about 15 mm high

Habitat:

found in soil with woodchip mulch & grass
