Field Notes

Description:

The flower is about 1cm, white flower with a purple landing pad. The flower has five petals but doesn't have fruit. The leaf shape is ovate and it's 2cm, the leaf's margin is entire and it's netted pinate, it's arrangement is opposite, the leaf texture is without hairs. I noticed that parts of the leaves has holes in them, which is a sign that it's been slightly eaten. You can't see the roots because they are underground. Characteristics about the whole plant is that it has a landing pad for pollinators.

Habitat:

Found on the rainforest floor in a secondary rainforest at Singapore American School.
