Field Notes

Description:

It sports a striped pattern with round marks that show when the wings are closed. When the wings are open it is a very dark, velvety charcoal colour.

Habitat:

On the lawn of the resort at Borong, Sikkim. Hilly, remote, lots of wild vegetation plus garden flowers in profusion.
