Field Notes

Description:

Small, orange, fan-shaped fungus growing on a tree branch in a mixed forest. I couldn’t get a shot of the underside because the branch was hanging over a steep hill.

Habitat:

Mixed forest

Notes:

Probably Neofavolus alveolaris, but without a shot of the pores, I can't be sure.
