Field Notes

Description:

After a day of heavy rain, the frogs came out in force! These small but mighty frogs were the loudest of all. My ears were ringing after hanging out near the pond where they all were singing (along with a variety of other frog species). The last image is of the pond with floating vegetation. These little guys were sitting on top of the vegetation. Small frogs, variation in coloration from mottled brown/gray to green and yellowish.

Habitat:

Temperate forest/freshwater pond at a campground.
