Field Notes

Description:

Smaller than the Caspian tern (about 15 inches in length) they have a reddish/orange beak, whitish neck, gray wings/body, and slighter darker wingtips.

Habitat:

Beach shore.

Notes:

Lifer! I walked at least four miles to get a picture of this guy! in the second photo... it is the two in the back that are the Elegant terns, the ones in the front are royal terns.
