Field Notes

Description:

The Rainbow Lorikeet is unmistakable with its bright red beak and colourful plumage. They have a blue (mauve) head and belly, green wings, tail and back, and an orange/yellow breast. (Birdlife Australia)

Habitat:

Hanging about in the park at Nanango.

Notes:

On this day there were Rainbow Lorikeets, Blue-faced Honeyeaters, and Noisy Miners gathered amicably around some chips that people were throwing out for them.
