Field Notes

Description:

This yucca plant has large, thick, spikes for leaves full of strong fibers. It's flowers have light red buds. The petals are white.

Habitat:

This yucca was growing with several others in a ponderosa-dominated forest.

Notes:

While it seems to be early, this yucca and a few others I saw were just starting to bloom. I know it is a yucca (genus yucca) but I am unsure of the species so any ID would be appreciated.
