Crane Flies hanging on a thin string of an abandoned spider web.

Habitat:

Tropical Forests, Kerala. India.

Species ID Suggestions

Gall Midges

Yes I believe they are mislabeled on the suggestion link. Here is what gall midges hanging on a web look like http://bugguide.net/node/view/504612/bgpage The Family of phantom crane flies is Ptychopteridae. It is poorly understood for Asia. It has 3 genera, 2 occur in Asia.. I can't find Bittacomorphella for India but it does occur in Thailand and Japan.
