This certainly looks like it lost part of its tail and maybe growing another. I looked at other pictures and they do have a longer tail but none seemed to be as long as the one in your other picture so it could be something else. I put a link on that one which should cover all possibilities in that area.
I have found a tentative ID. It looks like the adult form of the mangrove skink.
Yes, it could be, I will look for these later. And the other spotting in the same place, do you think is another species? Thanks! :-)
It was at a distance of a few meters from me so I am not really sure but it could have been around 15 cm.
