Field Notes

Description:

Leaves are simple, thick and leathery. The leaves are a netted pinnate and are a oblong shape. Flowers are on the trunk and main branches. Some flowers are club-shaped and some are round heads. Fruits are large and oblong, turning yellow when ripe.

Habitat:

I found in a dense part of the Singapore American School rainforest. I learned that the origin of the jackfruit is in Southern India.
