Description:

I spotted this bird eating some small fish at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center. It is in its non breeding plumage and it is an interesting bird. It is about three feet tall and has a sickle shaped beak. It eats mainly small fish and bugs.

Habitat:

Coastal areas, wetlands, and marshes
