Field Notes

Description:

About 23mm long, black without markings and covered in hairs. I'm pretty sure I got the species right, but I couldn't check for the red markings on the underside as it flew off after these two shots.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario' national park, just outside of Querétaro. The area is semi-arid, with lots of acacia and cacti.
