I've watched documentaries about these spiders dancing to impress their pale colored partners and sometimes after such a display, he gets eaten anyway.

Thank you Ashley for the nomination. These are fascinating jumping spiders and there are several species. We saw two. They are not uncommon but I must say I have never noticed them before.
