Description:
It is a very common plant grown in western ghats, south canara parts of karnataka. Known as Mangalabaala("ಮಂಗನಬಾಲ") in kannada meaning monkey's tail beacuse of its shape.
There will be lot of flowers grown in a series.
Each pink bar you see is not a single flower and it looks as a collection of several small flowers.
It grows throught the year.

Acalypha hispida, the Chenille plant, is a flowering shrub which belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae the subfamily Acalyphinae, and the genus Acalypha. Acalypha is the fourth largest genus of the Euphorbiaceae family, and contains many plants native to Hawaii and Oceania.This plant is also known as the Philippines Medusa, red hot cat's tail and fox tail in English
