Description:

Dejongia lobidactylus is a species of plume moth (Pterophoridae). Here it is resting on common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca).

Habitat:

In an old field with Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca), pasture grasses, goldenrods, willows, and small aspen, oak, and pine trees.

Notes:

The larval host of this species is goldenrod (Solidago spp.) of which there is an abundance in this field.
