Field Notes

Description:

Full black body. Snout has a grey-brown with a black nose.

Habitat:

Woods but came down to the lawn which is next to a pond with a canal that goes to the lake.

Notes:

For years these bears had only been found around the Adirondack area but in the last few years have moved in around a good chunk of NY and seen a lot more.
This one came to check on the bird feeder and probably the scraps of fish people throw in the area (unfortunately). But they usually spend their time up in the wooded area with rocky outcroppings.
