Field Notes

Description:

This fly was about 12 mm long and mostly olive-green in colour. The narrow abdomen was telescopic Thorax had a few stiff setae. Wings had a slight orange tint as were the long legs.
Large eyes looked cupped in a ring.

Habitat:

Flew in from the garden on a warm day.

Notes:

Have never seen a fly of this colour or shape before. He was very active making it difficult for me to get more shots. <br>
