Field Notes

Description:

A vivid metallic bug about 16mm long. Colours change depending on light direction. Two were found within a few metres on euphorbiaceae. At least one was obviously female and laying lime green eggs onto the same plant. (pic2)

Habitat:

Found on Ricinocarpos pinifolius ( http://anpsa.org.au/r-pin.html ) in Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve
