Field Notes

Description:

They have a mostly black back with a large white stripe running down the middle. The belly is all white, and the head is black and white striped in the female. There were a male and female flying around together, but the female was more photogenic :)

Habitat:

They are found in much of North America in wooded areas. The pair was at a local park in town.
