Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Oh! That is nice to know that I could get a snap...this place was full of moths and it is winter, so in summer and spring it must be even more populated with moths.
Please feel free to share this photo with anyone /site that would like to use it....considering that there are not too many snaps of this moth. Thank you again, bayucca.
Geometridae, Larentiinae, Ecliptopera sp., and looks like being Ecliptopera hampsoni, assuming the ID of the BOLD link is correct. Not much info about it on the net.
