Description:

It is a bird of melodious song, which is a strong whistle. It feeds on seeds and grains. Often some specimens sing together, resting a few inches away from each other.

Habitat:

It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Dry savanna, swamps, pastureland, wetlands, floodplain with tall grass, crops, areas of transition between the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado.
